On April 4, 2022, ICER announced the appointment of its first external consultant, Italian Air Force Pilot Colonel (retired) Mr. Roberto Doz.

The event marks an important acquisition to the ICER staff, as Mr. Doz carries an outstanding curriculum. Col. Doz holds qualifications for an impressive number of flying crafts.
  • Fixed wing jet aircraft: MB326 and MB339,
  • Fixed wing single-engine propeller aircraft: SM 208,
  • Fixed wing multi-engine propeller aircraft: P166, Grummann S2FA and Breguet 1150,
  • Rotary wing craft: AB204, AB G47 G2, AB 212 and BREDA NARDI NH 500,
  • which make him a member of the exclusive club of Italian military pilots possessing qualifications for fixed as well as rotay wing aircraft.

In addition to the 4.500 flight hours accumulated at the controls of the above mentioned aircraft, Colonel Doz's service includes several important assignments in the national and NATO fields, among which the direction of the National SAR (Search And Rescue) service for the Northern Italy area stands out.

Of particular importance to his role in the ICER is the fact that since the 1980s he has served on behalf of the Italian Air Force as an instructor of Navy Aviation crews for air-sea recognition, making him a highly qualified person in the recognition of any air or naval vehicle.

It should be noted that Col. Doz was also the witness of a remarkable UFO sighting, which took place in the 80's near Rome during non-service hours, while he was stationary at a highway toll booth south of Rome. On that occasion he had the opportunity to observe an object that flew over the area at low altitude. The object looked like a passenger carriage and flew without producing any noise or exhaust fumes. When it reached a mountain, the object interrupted its horizontal motion and switched seamlessly to vertical motion. Once it reached an altitude sufficient to overcome the mountain, the object resumed with continuity its horizontal motion continuing along the same route.
Similar phenomena were observed at the same time of that day by several witnesses, always in central Italy.
